Then I got my two knuckleheads.
I feel like a referee at times. They really go at each other. It is entertaining to watch them run up and down the flights of stairs, but when I hear the hissing and the growling, I usually put a stop to it. They are beginning to adjust and I think they realize that things really are okay. Sadie has this weird fascination with the bottom stairs on the 3 flights of stairs we have. I think her mission is to really tear up the carpet there. She really goes at it at times. We have a couple of scratching posts around and Jimmy uses them, but Sadie prefers to use the stairs I guess. She has also become really talkative when we are home. They like to follow us around and when we're working on the computer Jimmy likes to come and try and sit on the keyboard. Or at least try and catch the cursor.
But life is moving on. I'm in the middle of a couple of sewing projects and Jakob is starting to try out for a few more theatre productions (yay!) and his screenplay is always complete. My screenplay is in the works since I'm adapting a book, but I'm enjoying it. School is moving along. I'm starting to really organize all my lesson plans into binders for each subject, including any files (I'm putting everything on thumb drives or CDs). Since I'm not sure if I will be back at the school next year, I really trying to make sure I have something solid again so I don't feel like I am muddling my way through it again.
Hope 2010 is a good year for all of us.

I didn't know you liked cats! Is there a plan to get Jakob an "Okey" of his own?
I grew up with a cat always in the house. Oscar is with my parents and we've had him for the past 12 years. Sadie and Jimmy are my new "kids".
We don't have the lifestyle right now for a dog, otherwise I'm sure we'd have a scottish terrier or a schnauzer or a husky around.
