Happy New Year everyone!
Okay, so it is testing time in the school and I have a bunch of codes that I need to give the students in order to make sure that they are working on the right test. I usually write them on the board, but it has been difficult lately for some of the students to read my handwritting (or they just really don't want to turn around and look at the code), so I've started calling out the code.
In order to make sure that the students understand what it is, I've started using the Military Alphabet system. Some of my students got a kick out of it. So, here it is.
A - Alpha
B - Bravo
C - Charlie
D - Delta
E - Echo
F - Foxtrot
G - Golf
H - Hotel
I - India
J - Juliet
K - Kilo
L - Lima
M - Mike
N - November
O - Oscar
P - Papa
Q - Quebec
R - Romeo
S - Sierra
T - Tango
U - Uniform
V - Victor
W - Whiskey
X - X-ray
Y - Yankee
Z - Zulu
It's been kind of fun to have the code memorized. I've started spelling out things for my students and they get a candy if they can figure out what I'm spelling.

Haha, we have one of those at work for when we talk to people on the phone, and on a slow day, we made up our own alphabet including T for Tsunami, M for Mneumonic, G for Gnome, J for Johann Sebastian Bach and C for Czar among many others.
