Adventures

So starting out the new year has been interesting so far. In short I've:
~Locked myself out of the house
~Given myself fabric burns (I have no idea how that happened either)
~Tripped down the stairs (at school and at home)
~Locked my keys in my office
~Stepped on Jimmy's tail
~Got grease stains on my work pants (helped my younger brother change his flat)
~Slid down the icy walkway at work
~Tore a hole in my jeans

But at least I'm semi-healthy and I'm happy. Life has its twists and turns, and I'm just trying to roll with everything it's throwing at me.

On another adventure note, Sadie decided she wanted to learn how to open doors. We have a "half" coat closet (meaning that it is situated above the stairs, so it doesn't go all the way down to the floor). At times we don't close the door all the way so it latches, there is usually a gap there. Sadie figured out that she can scratch the under part of the door and with enough force--and patience--she can get that door to open. She did it yesterday and jumped inside. I think she really likes tight, dark, closed off spaces to hide in. Jimmy of course wanted to join her so he hopped in as well. It was kind of interesting to be sitting up in the loft and see the door open.

But we've got some interesting things a head of us. Jakob is on his last real semester of school, all that will be left is student teaching. I'm not sure whether or not I will be teaching in the fall because the school isn't sure if they can extend my contract. I was on a 1 year contract for this position because the teacher was taking a 1 year sabbatical; I may be looking for a job again come May. Jakob and I will both be working hard this summer to make sure we can keep up with everything. He's got the possibility of doing a couple of shows and I may be working on a film set or two. Here's hoping.
