In 3 days it'll be spring break. Meaning no students for a whole week! Do you know how excited I am? It isn't that I don't like my students (I like most of them) it's just that I really need this break. I have been going full tilt since I got this job and I know that the stress is beginning to get to me. It is getting more and more difficult to keep my temper and my cool with things. And the little things have been getting to me lately (when they shouldn't). But I've got a pretty relaxing spring break scheduled. I will be doing. . . .wait for it . . . nothing if I can help it. I may sketch a bit or work on a costume or 2 but I will not do anything if I don't feel like it.
Jakob had an interview with a school district about a week ago and while there aren't any positions available at the moment, he did meet the principal of the new high school that is being built about 20 minutes away from us. He seemed to like her and she liked some of the answers that he gave. You all know Jakob can be a bit "snarky" at times and many people don't understand it but I think that things are beginning to look up for him getting a teaching position. I know that there are a few possibilities in the Nebo district that will be popping up soon. Not that I want him to quit what he is doing right now (because it is giving a good income and insurance (it covers what mine doesn't) and it gives him time off to go to auditions.
But I cannot wait for these next few days to go by faster. There is a track meet that I'm working on Saturday, then Sunday is Easter which means good food and time with my family, then a whole week to myself (almost literally. Jakob is in another show).

Oh, that sounds so wonderful! What day works for you? My schedule is open all week next week, so far.
