Mondays can sometimes be a real downer since most of the time you didn't accomplish everything you needed to on the weekend (because some stores are closed on sunday. . .stupid stores) or you just had a really busy weekend and didn't catch up on enough sleep, I've decided that I'm going to find some "News of the Weird" and post it every Monday. It may be news from around the world or it may be news that happened to me.
But getting on to other things, I'm happy that the weather has turned a bit cooler; and by a bit cooler I mean it isn't hovering near 100 anymore. We have chances of thunderstorms this entire week, so I'm excited! I love thunderstorms! If I get lucky, I might take my camera and go see if I can catch lightening pictures.
Jakob and I are "redoing" the apartment. It hasn't been all that bad, but I get a bit bored when I can't change things around. I don't do it often, but I like to make things look different every once in a while. I'm trying to see if the landlady will let me put up some pictures or at least repaint something--but that may come when I actually have time to pull everything out of the front room, put it in the other rooms or out on the lawn. We've tackled the front room and the kitchen, so now it's time for the three other rooms. It's actually quite fun when you find something you didn't know you had. Plus, we've realized how many books we have and what a tiny, puny bookshelf to put them all in. But that may change soon, yea!
My mom is doing track camp this week and it's been fun to listen to some of the stories that she's had so far--and they only started at 9 this morning. I may go take some pictures later; its fun to watch the teens respond to my mom's coaching. You get the ones who are really dedicated and listen and absorb what she has to say, and then you get those who think they can high jump, but can't even get off the ground. This should be fun.
But Jakob is excited to see his brother next week (he's coming down for cross country camp) and then the weekend after that, going up to Seattle to see his parents. He's never seen Seattle, so he's in for a real treat. As for me, I'm still on the prowl for another job. Prowl. . . . . prowl. . . . . prowl. . . . .

He gets to go to Seattle? Was this planned before? Is it just to see the city and the fam? And I like the weird news. I look forward to it.
Hey Meilissa. If you want some good thunderstorms, you should move to the midwest! We have plenty to go around. Also, about the Folk Dance DVD, I would still love it, if you wouldn't mind sending it again.
