I really have some amazing people in my life

As much as I whine, complain, moan, groan, and be generally grumpy (apparently that is a major part of my personality now--go figure), I do have some amazing people in my life that I don't always give credit to. And I'm sure I'm going to forget someone while I'm making this list; doesn't mean you're not important in my life. . . .

1st--This group. Minus Jakob, I've known these people for almost 17 years. They've been a big part of my lief and I couldn't imagine being around anyone else. I have the privilege of calling them my best friends. They make me laugh when I'm getting hard on myself; they keep me grounded in the most crazy ways. Court's animation and illustration has a life of it's own. Every year I look forward to seeing what comes out of this crazy lady's mind. Dustin works at the school with me and it is nice to see a friendly face daily. His sculpture work is so creative! Mira writes (but never finishes :p) and has a geeky side to her that she isn't afraid of letting out.

And their families have let me into their hearts when they didn't have to. Court's mum is fantastic (my second mum) and Dustin's mom got me through a very difficult year in my teaching career.

As much as I hate my face in this picture, it is one of my favorites. These two ladies are amazing. Photo credit Justin Hackworth

2. These two: Michelle and Adam. Michelle is an amazing author (you should check out her stuff here) and Adam is Jakob's best friend and main fight partner (they do The Utah Duelists show together). I've only known them a short time, but they are amazing people. They make me smile and Michelle understands EVERYTHING when I say "theatre widow".

3. My family. We argue, we're goofy, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.

4. Jakob. We fight, we bicker, we push each others buttons, we get on each others nerves consistently, but I know that he is there for me when I have an issue that needs to be discussed. We don't always see eye to eye, but I wouldn't want to.

Love you hun.

There are many more friends who have made impacts, but when it comes down to it, I keep my friends close because they add something.

Love you all

Aww, this is the sweetest post EVAR. And yeah, boy do I hear you when you use the term theater widow. Especially lately. :) I miss my hubby!

You are truly blessed to have so many awesome people in your life, and I'm blessed to have you and Jakob in mine. :)
