Hubby got a new job

Well, more like a second job. About the middle of March there was a teacher fair and I dragged him along to make sure that he fully understood what he wants to get into. He's going back to school in the fall to continue his education and get his teacher license. Yes, he already has a bachelors degree in Theatre Art Studies, but he wants his teaching license in order to get a "real" job in what he was trained to do.

Anyway, so at the teacher fair he handed out a bunch of resumes, knowing that without a state teaching license he wouldn't be getting a job this year. We have a school around here that is a performing arts school--I believe it is a charter school--and about a week ago he got an e-mail from the principal asking my hubby if he would be willing to come in for an interview for a part-time teaching job. Needless to say, we could use the money right now and so I told him to go for it. He went up there and low and behold. . . . . he got the job! He teaches there through June 6th and he will be teaching Stage Movement, pretty much an easier way of saying Stage Combat. I think he is pretty excited, considering that he finally gets to do something related to what he graduated in.

Now comes the nerve wracking part. Since this is a part-time job and he'll only have it until school gets out in June, we still need another source of income (besides the job I already have) and that is the job that he has right now. We're nervous that they won't let him change his hours in order to make both jobs work. He's very confident that he can make both jobs work and I believe that he can do it, now its just up to his current job to see if he can do it or not. If not, then we're in trouble.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
