Nothing Eventful

Really, nothing has been going on lately in our lives that seems noteworthy. Jakob is almost finished with his student teaching and can get back to work in about a month (yay for income!) and I'm still battling it out at the Elementary school.

For those who have never really worked in an elementary school for long periods of time, you may not understand how hard it is. You are almost always sick because of the students. You get berated by parents if you do a good job. You get berated by parents if you do a bad job. This is their "baby" and they can do nothing wrong in most parents eyes and "how dare you" scold, discipline, or even say anything to the student other than "good job". Yep. I've gotten that. And since I instruct P.E., I get this excuse all the time from students and parents "Well, they'll just grow out of their chubbiness" or "My child doesn't need to stretch or practice. They have natural talent for anything." Yeesh! I can't believe some of the stuff that I get.

But life moves on and the school year is almost over and I'm hoping that it will eventually work out for the better. There is a Teacher Fair next week at the University and both Jakob and I are going to it.
